WHAT IS “MOP UP ROUND” NEET 2021 ?

NEET 2021 MOP UP ROUND


NEET UG 2021 will be held in pen and paper mode on September 12, 2021. The results will be released shortly after the NEET exam. The NEET Mop Up round is the procedure of state-by-state counselling for seat allotment in medical colleges against the reversed seats from the All India 15% quota. It is a gateway to get into a government college even if your grades are lower than the state cut off.

This round is intended for candidates who did not receive seats in rounds 1 and 2. This does not apply to candidates who have already been assigned seats. Candidates who qualify but do not receive a seat in round 1 or round 2 are automatically eligible for the Mop Up round. For this round, you must complete a separate form.

On behalf of the Medical Counselling Committee (MCC), the Directorate General of Health Sciences (DGHS) will launch the NEET Mop-Up Round on its official website https://mcc.nic.in/UGCounselling/Home/SeatMatrix.


ELIGIBILTY FOR "NEET 2021 MOP UP ROUND".


Please keep in mind that the mop-up round fills unfilled seats in the NEET Counselling process participating institutes. Candidates who passed NEET-UG 2021 with the required percentile will be able to participate in the process.

The following are the eligibility conditions for the NEET Mop Up Round:


·         Candidates who have passed the NEET-UG Cut Off 2021 are eligible to participate in the NEET Mop Up Round.

·         Candidates who registered for NEET Counselling but did not receive a seat are eligible to participate in the Mop-Up Round Counselling.

·         Candidates who have not already registered for NEET UG Counselling 2021 can take part in the Mop-Up Round.

·         Candidates who participated in the first or second round of NEET-UG Counselling 2021 and were offered a seat are ineligible to participate in the Mop-Up Round.

HOW DO I PARTICIPATE IN THE "NEET 2021 MOP UP ROUND"?


To participate in the NEET-UG 2021 Mop-Up Round, eligible applicants must complete the following steps:


Step 1: Review the available seat matrix to determine the availability of admission seats at various medical and dentistry schools.

Step 2: Fill out the online form on MCC's official website to register yourself and fill out your selection within the time frame. We recommend that you carefully fill out and save your settings because they cannot be modified.

Step 3: The officials will next declare the seat allotment outcome after processing all of the choices according to the merit list.

Step 4: Report to the appointed institute for further formalities once the seats have been assigned and the results have been declared.

Please keep in mind that the list of vacancies will be provided to the Deemed/Central Universities following the mop-up round. Following that, counselling for the final vacant seats will be held at these universities, and the vacancies will be filled solely on the basis of merit.
