The Lviv National Medical University, formerly known as Danylo Halytsky Lviv National Medical University, is one of Ukraine's oldest medical schools. Since 1961, the university has provided education to international students. Over 2.5 thousand international doctors and pharmacists have received education here over the last 50 years and have gone on to work effectively as doctors and pharmacists in numerous places across the world. The students at Lviv National Medical University were taught in Ukrainian and Russian. Moreover foreign students have been taught in English since 1997. This has led to massive expansion of the University. Currently, 70% of international university students are enrolled in an English-medium program. 

The university library is huge and more than 5,30,000 volumes of textbooks, manuals, and other essential medical content is stacked in the university library. The library has high quality infrastructure and computer equipment. It provides an access to the Internet and is linked to other scientific city libraries as well. Departments and laboratories at the Lviv National Medical University are involved in more than 10 scientific programs which is sponsored by the Ukrainian Ministry of Health and other international organizations. Over 50 research projects are being carried out in collaboration with Ukrainian and regional allies. Approximately 19100 students attend The Lviv National Medical University each year, where in  5426 are undergraduates. Faculty & Courses Offered

Lviv National Medical University consists of six faculties in total. Several laboratories and research centres are available to work on several infectious diseases. There are 78 departments (including 48 clinical departments) with 14 academic buildings. The university is affiliated to 41 hospitals. A well -established dental medical centre is there. For students pursing a program in pharmacy, a teaching pharmacy is also available. Along with theoretical knowledge, the excellent staff pays attention to the practical aspect of the program as well.

Lviv National Medical University Admission Process

For admission to Medical Courses at Lviv National Medical University or any other medical university in Ukraine or India, the NEET exam and a valid score are necessary. The primary eligibility requirements would be an aggregate of 50% in Physics, Chemistry, Biology including English. The admission is made easy for the students by the University faculty.

Lviv National Medical University's hostels are located on and around the main campus. European apartment-style hostels are the most popular among them. Multi-story hostel buildings with well-furnished rooms are available at the university. There are two mattresses, a study table, and a clothes rack in each of the hostel rooms. The institution also provides specific kitchen facilities for Indian students on every floor of the dormitory so that they can prepare their own meals. Other amenities include WIFI, a private bathroom, 24 hour hot and cold running water, free power, minimal furnishings, and more. For international students, an Indian Mess is also available. Separate floors are offered for males and females in the hostel. The hostel provides students with a high level of security 24 hours a day, seven days a week.
